ECS Staffing and Recruitment have an exciting new opportunity that has become available for a Full- time Sous Chef.
Being passionate about cooking fresh food with an eye for detail, eagerness to develop and ability to work unsupervised are some of the key requirements.
We are looking for an individual to work with the Head chef and be part of the back bone of the Kitchen, and as a Sous Chef, to be responsible for the smooth running of the department by implementing and maintaining new company procedures and standards. What is more, the ideal candidate should have experience in leading a team and managing the daily operation of the kitchen.
The key requirements are:
- good attitude;

- the ability to work well under pressure;
- maintaining high levels of service;
- work in a professional, yet friendly manner;
- be a team player and assist where required;
- work to high standards;
- previous experience in a senior kitchen role for at least 2 years;
- hospitality management: at least 2 years senior kitchen management in location;
- great communication, teamwork and leadership skills;
- understanding of working with budgets;
- managing the daily operation of the kitchen;
- strong administrative skills;
- ability to commute/relocate to Stratford-upon-Avon area.
Some of the main responsibilities include:
- provide leadership and direction to a team of people;
- recruit and train new hires on business practices;
- assist in operations and an understanding of the finances of the Kitchen;
- minimise wastage and aid in efficiencies;
- drive development of employees;
- ensure that quality of work or service is maintained.
